Heinlein Online Information Sources
All links below will open in new pages.
Google Search
Click here for a streamlined Google-based search of Heinlein resources. We plan to bring much of this information to this site's data banks, and accurately link and references the rest.
site:RAH (Nitrosyncretic Press information site)
The oldest and original Heinlein information site, site:RAH has a vast amount of information and resources. It is also a bit time-worn and in need of updating... which is why, piece by piece, the contents of this emeritus site will be brought here, refreshed and renewed, and used as the core of a new and truly comprehensive databank. In the meantime, most Heinlein project managers and researchers will find much of use on the original site.
The Heinlein Prize
The Heinlein estate and trust sponsors a major prize fund for advancements in commercial manned spaceflight. Here's the home site for the prize efforts.
The Online Heinlein Archives
On July 7, 2007, at the Heinlein Centennial in Kansas City, an announcement was made that changed the shape of the Heinlein world for all readers, researchers and aficionados: very nearly the entire contents of the physical Heinlein archives were placed online in PDF form, downloadable for very nominal fees. This, while overwhelming, is the mother lode for all serious Heinlein research.
UC Santa Cruz Physical Archives
Robert Heinlein's physical papers and other materials are housed at the UC Santa Cruz McHenry Library, Special Collections and Archives section. Although most of the contents are available in the Online Archives (see above), there is always value in being able to review the original materials. Unfortunately, the Heinlein collection is in inaccessible deep storage during remodeling of the Special Collections offices and will not be available to visiting researchers until sometime next year.
Heinlein Estate Agents
One thing Heinlein Nexus is not is any official representative of the Trust, Archives or rights holders of Heinlein's material. If you seek to work with Robert Heinlein's copyrighted material beyond “fair use” limits, you will need to seek and obtain proper permissions from the estate's agents. The primary agent is Ms. Eleanor Wood, who has held the position for more than thirty years.
